JACKSON HEIGHTS, NY – March 11, 2026 – The spirit of community and interfaith harmony was celebrated on Wednesday evening at the 5th Annual Interfaith Iftar and Dua Mahfil, hosted at the Nabanno Restaurant Party Hall in Jackson Heights. The event, which brought together approximately 250 guests, was jointly organized by All County Healthcare Group, Nabanno Restaurant Group, and Bengal Federal Credit Union. All three organizations are under the leadership of prominent local businessman and community figure Muhammad Kader, CIP.
The evening served as a gesture of gratitude towards the community, with Mr. Kader welcoming attendees including senior citizens, media representatives, and local activists. In his opening remarks, he attributed the success of All County Home Care to the trust placed by the Bangladeshi senior community and the dedication of his staff. "I am grateful for the support we have received," Mr. Kader said in his address. "The hard work, honesty, and sincerity of our employees have made All County Home Care one of the premier home care providers in the region."
The program featured speeches from a range of distinguished local figures, including council candidate Shah Sahidul Haque, assembly candidate and former police officer Shamsul Haque, and Bangladesh Nationalist Party central committee member Giash Ahmed. Also addressing the gathering were Mohammad Tareq Hasan Khan of the Jackson Heights Business Association, community activist Fahad Solaiman, and Jamil Sarwer, President of the Bangladesh American Police Association. The event was hosted by Mia Mohammad Dulal and coordinated by Anisur Rahman Anis.
Organizers ensured the comfort of all guests by providing separate seating arrangements for men and women. The religious and communal aspect of the evening was highlighted by a recitation from the Holy Quran followed by a special prayer (dua) led by an Imam, seeking the well-being of the Muslim Ummah. Attendees then partook in the Iftar meal and dinner together, symbolizing the event's theme of unity. In her closing remarks, Sifa Amin, Chairman of All County Healthcare Group, thanked all participants, organizers, and guests for their contributions to the event's success.
Muhammad Kader confirmed the community tradition will continue, stating that the Interfaith Iftar is an annual initiative to give back to the community and will be held every year in the future.
